This news came as a complete shock to the entire E-Square team, the wider E-Square network, and Jörn’s colleagues at ElectronicPartner in both Germany and Austria. 

With great sadness, Eric Millar, Managing Director of E-Square, says: “Jörn was a dear colleague who will be greatly missed. He firmly believed in and was committed to the success of E-Square – first as a member of the initial team when E-Square was founded, subsequently as an Advisory Board member, and finally since the beginning of January, he joined me in the day-to-day management.  He was an important and highly committed player in the electronic retailing industry, both nationally and internationally.“

Born in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1970, he began his career within the ElectronicPartner group at the age of 35 as a controller at the Düsseldorf headquarters. After three years, he moved to E-Square as Head of Business Development. Subsequently, he took responsibility for the Organisation and Processes division of ElectronicPartner’s German subsidiary, a role he held until 2015. He was then appointed Commercial Director of ElectronicPartner Austria and, since 2021, had been leading the company as Managing Director alongside Michael Hofer. At the beginning of 2025, he joined Eric Millar on the Management team of E-Square.

Jörn Gellermann was a wonderful person and an exceptional colleague. He was deeply committed to the success of the people and organisations he worked with. “Jörn was a kind and generous man, both professionally and personally. We will miss his leadership, professionalism, enthusiasm, and companionship,“ says Eric Millar.
