On the 26th and 27th of April, the E-Square group met in Amsterdam for its annual General Assembly. The 28 representatives from the group’s 16 members used this time to reflect on the past year, welcome new members, discuss strategic changes within the industry and celebrate E-Square’s 5th anniversary. This year the meeting was joined by Prof. Dr. Heinemann and Alejandro Mondragon (GFK) to draw attentions on how digital media is changing the way consumers shop.
“This year we’re celebrating 5 years of the existence of Europe’s youngest buying group and over this time a lot has changed. In the beginning we took some time to get to know each other, to understand how each other works and how to deliver great value to our suppliers and to each other. Nowadays our members can really see and experience the value of being in a strong retail group like E-Square and the benefits they get.” comments Paul Tyson, Managing Director E-Square.
The topics discussed throughout the General assembly - Strategy, Group Projects, Central Activities and Group Marketing - all came to the same conclusion that the group needs to focus on common challenges to become even stronger for the future.
