A summary of IFA 2016

The E-Square Team has had a very successful IFA. From the 2nd until the 7th of September, the team was able to see the newest trends in consumer electronics and home appliances, meet with various international suppliers, discuss strategic points with E-Square members as well as getting insights in to a typical store of E-Square’s German member.

 

The busy IFA schedule started with an organized shop tour to a MEDIMAX store, where E-Square members were able to see a typical store layout, point of purchase marketing and the difference in products range. ‘Our members have shown interest in visiting other members’ stores. Many of our members have a different shop concept or POS solutions; this visit was a great opportunity to gain insights on different way of doing things’, states Oliver Richter, Purchasing and Projects director E-Square.

 

The newest member of E-Square, Tretti, was welcomed during the Pre-IFA operational meeting. Acquiring another market leader, E-Square is stepping in to a market with great potential and development capacity. The outcome of the meeting was very positive, as significant strategic points were discussed and future plans for E-Square introduced and debated. It is important to meet face to face, especially in times of changes within the market, to have a common basis and to exchange ideas and experience. For E-Square building relationships with members and suppliers remains a priority and therefore a new potential supplier was invited to present their brand and products.

 

Together with their German member ElectronicPartner, E-Square was present at IFA. The team has created a ‘B2B’ corner especially for E-Square members to use as a meeting point. The E-Square team would like to develop this collaboration at next year’s IFA even further.
